Teacher Bio

Alberta Hardy loves teaching music and the arts to kids and seeing how it expands horizons and changes lives. Alberta has played the violin since the age of nine, learning with the Suzuki method, and is so thankful that her parents gave her the gift of music lessons! Seeking to best be able to serve her students, Alberta has taken violin teacher training courses with master teachers in the Suzuki Method and is registered in books 1-4 with the Suzuki Association of the Americas. She especially loves to play Baroque music, and has performed extensively in orchestral and chamber music settings. She also enjoys playing Celtic and Scandinavian fiddle music, as well as some bluegrass and sacred music. Alberta has lots of experience working with kids, and also teaches theater classes and directs children’s theater productions.
