Schedule, Tuition and Studio Policies

I teach in three 11 week terms during the school year, with a week at the end of the term for make-ups.

Group lessons are bi-weekly.

To set up lesson times, contact me with your availablity and I will work to set up a convenient lesson time!

Term schedules:

Sept 24-Dec 15 (Dec 10-15 is makeup week)
Jan 7 –March 23 (March 19 -23 is makeup week)
April 1 – June 15 (June 11-15 is makeup week)

Tuition rates

Option 1: 30 min weekly private lesson - $220/term
Option 2: 45 min weekly private lesson (recommended for older or intermediate students) - $330/term

Option 3: Share a lesson! Groups of two or three. Very fun and motivating to learn with others! Great for siblings. Meet new friends in your group! Perfect for beginners.
2 students for 45 min = $175/term per student
3 students for 45 min, or 2 students for 30 min = $120 per term per student

Fees INCLUDE bi-weekly group lesson, 1 recital per term, and a yearly t-shirt!!!

Rates reflect 1 private lesson per week, as is standard American practice. However, I believe more lessons per week to be beneficial.  Youth sports teams understand this principle very well :)  If interested in multiple lessons per week, I discount the second lesson by 25%.

-I offer a sibling discount of 10% for each additional sibling per family studying with me.

-Tuition for term due one week before first lesson.

-I also accept three equal payments over the term with an additional $10 fee from families who wish to pay monthly, due the first of the month.

Attendance and make-up lesson policies

-Regular attendance at lessons is important for continued learning and progress!

-At the end of each term, there is an opportunity to make up 1 lesson if it must be unavoidably missed for such reasons as illness, family emergencies, etc.

- If a lesson must be missed, let the teacher know as far ahead of time as possible so it may be counted an excused absence and eligible for the make-up.

-If a student is sick, please call or email and let the teacher know that the student will not be coming as soon as possible – sickness reported BEFORE the lesson is an excused absence and eligible for the make-up lesson.

-For a one-time known conflict with the lesson time, contact the teacher as much in advance as possible. Re-scheduling may be possible.

-Lessons where the student does not show up with no prior notice to the teacher are NOT an excused absence and are not eligible for the make-up lesson.

- I do not offer refunds. Make-up lesson times are available for one excused absence a term. If a family or medical emergency arises to prevent a student from studying for a length of time, I will (with notice) credit received payment to future lessons when the family is able to resume.

- If the teacher misses a lesson, it will be made up within the term, or if impossible to schedule, credited for future lessons.

- A missed Make Up lesson will not be made up or refunded.
